Be the Magic
Saturday 4 October
Our friendly Egypt representative will meet you on arrival at Cairo airport, escort you through Immigration and Customs and help you check in at our hotel.
Sunday 5 October B/L/D
This morning’s a group breakfast is followed by our welcome session, preparing us for the journey ahead. Change into comfortable clothes for our first Nei Gong session. Master Teacher Christel Wilk will guide us through our practice facing the pyramids in the hotel garden.
After a rest period, we will acquaint ourselves with Egyptian food at lunch in the garden of a local restaurant.
We depart in the afternoon to Luxor on the East Bank of the river Nile, home to some of the most magnificent monuments from ancient civilization. We experience their splendor and consider their relevance in today’s world.
We will spend the bulk of our Egypt days in Luxor.
Check in to the beautiful and comfortable Sofitel Karnak.
Monday 6 October B/D
We get an early start to have time for quiet reflection in the huge complex of Karnak Temple and appreciate the space on our own before other tourists arrive. Our Nei Gong practice by the sacred lake will be a truly unique experience.
Our talented Egyptologist will guide us through the enormous temple to admire its physical structure and discover how this sacred place took a thousand years to create.
A generous buffet breakfast at the hotel is sure to satisfy our appetite after the morning’s enlightening excursion.
We gather for a group discussion after breakfast and then spend the rest of the afternoon in silence to contemplate the day so far. Late in the afternoon, we will regroup to share our experience, practice Nei Gong and participate in an energy workshop led by Jacqueline.
Dinner at the hotel and an optional stroll by the Nile into Luxor
Tuesday 7 October B/L/D
Rise before dawn to cross the Nile and enjoy a magical sunrise balloon ride over the West Bank. Imagine the quality of silence at 1500 feet above Middle Age villages, grandiose mortuary temples of the most prominent pharaohs and the lush green valley bordering the desert. After a celebration with our crew, we return to our hotel for a bountiful breakfast.
We gather at 11am for Nei Gong, quiet reflection and discussion.
Our afternoon is free until a 5pm Nei Gong session at Luxor temple to bid the sun goodnight.
Wednesday 8 October B/L/D
After a big breakfast, we join a convoy to Osiris’s tomb in the most exquisite temple of Abydos and the only well-carved “flower of life” in Egypt. This temple complex is most interesting as a sacred space reflecting an amazing quality of workmanship which has survived the millennia.
Nei Gong practice and other surprise activities are in store for us in the temple.
Lunch is a traveling picnic on the bus en-route to our hotel with plenty of free time until 5pm when Jacqueline will lead a session exploring Human Cosmology or similar.
Dinner at the hotel is followed by an optional sound and light show at Karnak
Thursday October 9 B/L/D
Today will be full with visits to the West Bank and Deir el Medina, the village of specially selected craftsmen who built the royal tombs and temples. We visit various tombs and take time out for quiet contemplation in the temple of Hathor, the Godess of nurturing. On our return, we stop at the female pharaoh Hatchepsut’s modern-looking temple and appreciate the power of this holiest place before proceeding to the Ramesseum. Nei Gong is followed by lunch at an exceptional and charming local restaurant.
The balance of our afternoon is spent in silence and we regroup for dinner at the hotel.
Friday October 10 B/L/D
We have leisure this morning with no need for an early wake-up call, except for those who would like to join our 6am Nei Gong practise.
We meet around 11am to compare notes on our journey so far and reveal what magic we have created.
Afternoon flight to Cairo and check in to our hotel near the Giza Plateau.
An opportunity to shop for Egyptian cotton is available for anyone interested.
Optional sound and light show at the pyramids.
Saturday October 11 B/ D
Today is the highlight of our adventure together, with a private visit to the Sphinx and a private hour in the great pyramid’s Chamber of the Kings. These tend to be very profound experiences so we will take it easy for most of the afternoon. We meet late in the day to talk about our journey and practice Nei Gong in our final session.
Our farewell dinner is held at a restaurant overlooking the Giza Plateau where we enjoy the lit pyramids while we dine and celebrate the magic we have created together.
Saturday October 12 B
The time has come for farewells to friends old and new before our individual departures after breakfast. Our Egyptian representatives see you to the airport and help you with check-in for your return flight home.
